Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?

No. You do not need a referral to book an appointment.

If you would like to access a Medicare rebate for therapy sessions, you will need a valid GP Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral.

What issues do you support women with?

I work with women experiencing anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, burnout, people-pleasing, chronic overwhelm, and relationship or life stress.

For some, therapy also becomes a space to explore whether ADHD or autistic traits may help explain long-standing patterns that have been difficult to name.

Do you provide ADHD or autism assessments?

No. I do not provide formal diagnostic assessments.

Therapy can, however, be a space to explore patterns that may be relevant to ADHD or autistic traits, and to better understand how these may be affecting your daily life, relationships, and wellbeing.

Do I need to know exactly what to say before I reach out?

No. You do not need to have everything worked out before making contact.

Many people reach out with only a general sense that they are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or exhausted, and together we go from there.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is an opportunity to begin understanding what has brought you to therapy and what you would like support with.

There is no pressure to explain everything perfectly, and we go at a pace that feels manageable for you.

How often do sessions occur?

This depends on your needs, goals, and capacity.

Many people begin with weekly or fortnightly sessions and then move to monthly sessions, or to other intervals depending on what feels most helpful and sustainable.

Do you offer telehealth only?

Yes. Therapy appointments are provided via telehealth.

I work with women in Lismore, the Northern Rivers, and across Australia.

Can I access Medicare rebates?

Yes. I am a registered Medicare provider, and if you have a valid GP Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for therapy sessions.

Medicare rebates are not available for supervision or consultation services.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.

Late cancellations and missed appointments may incur the full session fee.

Do you offer clinical supervision?

Yes. I offer clinical supervision for social workers and other helping professionals working in mental health and related fields across Australia.

Do you offer consultation services?

Yes. I offer consultation for social workers, helping professionals, teachers, school staff, mental health support workers, NDIS support workers, and teams seeking focused input around clinical work, neurodiversity-affirming practice, and professional practice.

Do you offer training for teams or schools?

Yes. I offer training and education sessions for teams, schools, and services wanting to deepen their understanding of ADHD, autism, AuDHD, and neurodiversity-affirming practice.

These sessions may be helpful for teachers, school staff, mental health support workers, NDIS support workers, and other teams wanting practical guidance relevant to their work.

How do I get in touch?

You are welcome to get in touch via the contact form, email, or phone to ask about availability, discuss whether the service may be a good fit, or arrange an appointment.
